# re: And the winners of the Imagine Cup 2007 are...

Question for you - are there limitations on which countries can enter this competition?

I'm just curious because I see very few participants from the United States on the world map.  Is this because the competition is focused on other regions, or merely because the U.S. didn't field more than 1 or 2 teams?

Thanks

Hi Dave,

The competition is global and the US would have been represented. The competition starts out with regional and then national finals and so there is only one team per country in the Software Design Challenge. In other parts of the competition the finalists are selected by high scores in previous rounds and so some countries will have had no finalists while others multiple. Please visit www.imaginecup.com to find out more
