SteveB firing on all cylinders
I’m not privy to the background between Mr Guy Kawasaki and Mr Steve Ballmer, but Guy clearly enjoyed the opportunity to interview Steve, and planned on giving him a hard time. The first few minutes of the interview reminded me of my press training: Sometimes it’s better to walk away. But Steve, the pro he is, did extremely well. In fact, this session was very inspiring to me, to get insights into what Steve is thinking about, the direct of Microsoft, the thinking behind some of the recent M&A activities and more (e.g. his email stories), that I’d like to recommend it to you. I’ve also managed to catch up with two of the academics that came along from the UK, David and Umran, and we’ve had good discussions about many of the challenges we face, and the exciting opportunities ahead.
