RSDE vacancy in medical imaging
A new group is being formed at Microsoft Research, Cambridge (UK) to work on Medical Imaging. This has been prompted by the establishment of a new product group in Redmond under Peter Neupert - the Health Solutions Group (HSG). We are planning a group of 2 researchers, 2 RSDEs and a postdoc. Currently we are looking for one of the RSDEs. Ultimately it is planned that, of the 2 RSDEs, one will work on research prototypes, the other on work on product quality code to feed into Microsoft's Amalga medical record browsing system. This advert is principally for the latter post, though if a good candidate for the former post applied that would certainly be considered. In either case the RSDE needs to be comfortable with 3D geometry, matrix computations, graphics programming, generation of product quality code. Experience in the medical imaging industry would be valuable but not absolutely essential
