Announcement: SE Rollup 3 released September 2009

Microsoft Dynamics AX SE team had started releasing hotfix roll-ups for the RTM and SP1 versions of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 back in March 2009. The goal for the roll-ups has been to provide an easy way of deploying Microsoft Dynamics AX with the latest hotfixes and country specific regulatory updates on a given Service Pack level. Since then, we have received very positive feedback on the availability of hotfixes and country-specific regulatory updates in the form of a roll-up package.

Following Rollup 1 in March and Rollup 2 in June, Rollup 3 for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 RTM and SP1 is available now on Partner Source and Customer Source. In addition to the hotfixes, Rollup 3 includes multiple country-specific regulatory updates for various regions on SYP and GLS layers except for GLS-TR (Turkey). Most of these country-specific regulatory updates are mandated by law in the countries that they apply. The KB article of Rollup 3 provides a list of these updates with the detailed information on the changes.

In addition to the hotfixes and country-specific regulatory updates, Rollup 3 for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 SP1 includes Hebrew language support (User interface only) for Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 SP1, providing the language baseline for the GLS-IL (Israel) layer that is planned to be released later this year.

The Microsoft Dynamics AX Sustained Engineering team is proud to announce the following compatibility between the released versions of Microsoft Dynamics AX and the Release Candidate of Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2:

Windows 7	Microsoft Dynamics AX 4.0 SP2 and Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009 RTM and SP1 Supported as a client only, in 32 bits and 64 bits mode.

Hi All, please do make sure if you’re either working on, or interested in the Process Manufacturing or Professional Services solutions for AX that you’ve visited the following pages on PartnerSource,

Process Industries for Microsoft Dynamics AX and Professional Services for Microsoft Dynamics AX are available immediately. On the links you’ll find details around training, certification, whitepapers etc. Previously all training would have been through the Industry solution ISV, whereas now, much of that training can be done online. Where more detailed training is required, this training will now be conducted through a Microsoft office, rather than the ISV (that’s not to say that we' won’t use the great skills of the ISV trainers though).

In terms of the Retail solution, Microsoft will be announcing a roadmap and availability of the end-to-end retail solution soon.
