Just a quick note to let you know that the DCO workshops will not be available to book in against until the first week in August.

Apologizes for this. I checked with our PLC team and they are using the summer holiday period to make changes to the internal sites. This is putting a blocker on scheduling new events in the system.

My advice would be to put a place holder in your diary for the date that you are interested in. As soon as the links go live I will make them available to you.

Sorry for the confusion.

Dear Valued Partner

We are happy to announce the official release of the Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 SP1 Community Technical Preview (CTP). The CTP release is a package containing a virtual PC (VPC) image of the W1 version of Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 SP1 and a set of documents supporting the release.

PLEASE NOTE: The purpose of the Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 SP 1 CTP is to provide you with a preview of Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 SP1. As such, you should primarily use the CTP VPC to drive internal readiness efforts and activities. When necessary, you can leverage the CTP with strategic prospects or customers to help close a strategic deal or secure future business on Microsoft Dynamics NAV. In all other cases, you should continue to focus your efforts on selling the current in-market version of the Microsoft Dynamics NAV product.

The Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 SP 1 Community Technical Preview release and related readiness materials can be downloaded from PartnerSource here.

The Microsoft Dynamics NAV Hosting Guide provides thorough analysis primarily aimed at ISVs, VARs, and hosting partners who plan on hosting Microsoft Dynamics NAV. It is also helpful for end users who would like to understand what it means to have their Microsoft Dynamics NAV platform hosted rather than located on their premises.

Hi There Everyone

Following on from Steve’s blog here are the files from the DCO workshops last month.

Fill your boots!

A lot of you are incorporating the new material into you demo sets already which is great news!

We are adding some more material around BDC Actions into Forms Server and MOSS Workflow. The plan is to run these sessions early in the Autumn (September).

The offer to existing customers on External Connector licensing for NAV runs out soon.

You know what it is...you know how generous it is!

So...

Dear all

DCO licensing which we launched back in December is now really buuilding momentum both in new customers and existing installations. The ability to extend NAV to non-ERP staff in an affordable manner, and making use of the DBC, Forms Server and the PerformancePoint BI options is proving very popular among many partners. This is really helping some partners make the best use of our technology to deliver cost effective and innovative solutioms.

BUT NOT ALL!

So, are you skilled up on DCO and MOSS?

Do you want to partner-up for Sharepoint skills?

Do you know where the demo materials are?

Are you comfortable with the licensing?

If the answer to any of the above is "no", then please talk to us in the UK Dynamics NAV team.

Best regards

Steve Farr
