Visual Basic 6.0 developer tools will enter the Extended Support Phase on April 1st 2005. This means that customers will no longer be able to use the 2 warranty incidents that come with the box but can still use paid support incidents including those received with MSDN subscriptions. VB6 applications running on a VB6 runtime are unaffected as the runtime is shipped with Windows and inherits support from the Operating System. For further details and links to more information see the VB Product Manager’s Blog entry on VB6 Support.
