Rough landing... - The 360 Saga: Part 2
Good afternoon, news from the front. After last nights late night
queuing for X-Box 360 we have come back empty handed. Our initial aim
was to try get two X-Boxes but the demand far out-weighed the supply!
Following is a pictorial timeline of the events as they un-folded:
10 PM
Arrived at Tesco 10pm. No queues! Excellent start to the evening as you can see from my face our hopes were sky-high.
10:30 PM
After waiting around for a half hour time descended into some sort of slow motion vortex.
We decided to ask the managers when we would be able to get our hands on a 360. Good news 12pm, bad news. Only 2 Available!!!!
10:52 PM
After awhile this chap walked upto us and told us that we should
probably go home. He also told us which door the X-Box would be coming
out of ;)
11:00 PM
Ah oh!!!!! We have company. These two chaps turned up at around 11:00
and started queuing with us. Later in the evening the guy in the middle
got an X-Box. Mark Tulip (Another Microsoft dude is on the right)
12:01 PM
12 O'clock struck and Tesco decided the best way to work out who got
the X-Boxes was via a lucky draw. Look how many people there are!!!
12:05 PM
Respect my authority. Another guy who thought we were all crazy :)
12:10 PM
Here's us writing down our names and the Tesco store manager who was handing out the X-Box...
12:15 PM
Everyone looks very concerned as the winners are announced. Sadly
neither Mark nor I were lucky enough to have our names drawn....
The winners got quickly escorted away to a back room to get the X-Box
so we didn't manage to get any photos of them and the 360's
Better Luck next time! Eventually got home at 1:30am and discovered I didn't have house keys, though that is another story! :)
