BizTalk MSMQ Adapter released

Cool. The MSMQ Adapter (as different from the MSMQT Adapter) has now been released for BizTalk. You can download here.

I’ve been waiting for this, because I do a lot of development on my machine, and want to have MSMQ and BizTalk on the same machine. If I installed (registered) MSMQT, I wouldn’t be able to have MSMQ on that machine. If I had MSMQ, I couldn’t read the messages from the queue (you get the idea).

Now onto that Publish Subscribe pattern example…

Hey Ulrich,

* You could use the new BTS MSMQ adapter to implement your Publish/ Subscribe pattern example *

I've read that it is possible to have MSMQ and MSMQT co-exist on the same machine, by setting up a couple of IP addresses for that machine and binding MSMQ to the first IP and binding MSMQT to the other. Even with this install there is a limitation that you can't use the 'DIRECT' format name to send messages to local MSMQ queues on local server… *phew*… I haven't tried this and it's probably not a good idea but thought I'd add in my 2 cents :)
