About Javed Sikander

Javed is the Director of Industry Architecture at Microsoft. He is an industry expert with over 10 years of experience in Enterprise Applications and Supply Chain Management (SCM) systems. He is engaged in creating reference architectures with Microsoft Platform addressing key industry problems in Retail, Manufacturing and Financial Services. His latest interest is Office 12 and how it can be a compelling business platform for the next generation business applications. In the past, Javed was responsible for creating and driving Microsoft’s RFID strategy, he has developed reference architectures and toolkits for RFID applications in a Retail supply chain. Javed started his career in 1994 at i2 technologies, developing parts of i2’s flagship Supply Chain Planner suite. He was later responsible for the development of i2’s Supply Chain Analytics Platform and Solutions. Javed received an MS Computer Science degree from the University of Texas at Dallas and a BS Computer Science degree from Hyderabad, India. Javed resides in Redmond, WA with his wife and their two children.
