Here's the deal, I think most people who know me think I'm just a geek, or have some level of technical aptitude. However, in my experience consulting is 80% non-technical. It's all about people. How can we expect organizations to trust us and listen if we haven't adequately demonstrated we understand their needs and care about the solutions to their problems?
That's what it's all about. Anyone can learn technology, but we must learn people, business, and technology and rationalize all three as well have a vested interested in their success, not exlusively our own.
