All this tab does is get in the way of normal work, making me stop and read lines and lines of text and try to remember what the tiny preview portion of the window looked like.

I can see the next "innovation" coming! Imaigine this: a ctrl+tab that changes THE WHOLE WINDOW!

* SEE the life size previews!

* READ the big text!

* WATCH as the tab _itself_ changes!

* AMAZE as the logical order of tabs is preserved!

* RELAX as you don't have to stop what you are doing and READ A GOD DAMN DIALOG BOX to figure out what the next tab is.

In VS I just keep all but a couple windows open because It is harder to read that god forsaken "helpful tab box" than it is to just use a tool like resharper and call up the recent files list.

Give everybody the chance to turn it if, and I bet they all will. Just because windows doesn't does not mean it's good. And sadly, many a deluded application out there will copy this, and already has. Thanks for spreading the scourge.

Umm yes - Ctrl+Tab is a paradigm that has been in use since MDI applications were born, no? Here's one for you though..

Did you know? Microsoft still uses Flash on it's website instead of Silverlight?

Be kind, most developers in the field have never ever participated in anything other than .NET or Java application after college. The industry has been driving out more experienced developers from the field since 2000. These two explain why it is quite difficult to find a well run production shop and therefore high IT costs.
