Hyper-V in my House

I often chat to people about how I use Hyper-V in my house – so I figured that I should write it down for all to read. At the moment I have a single server in my house. It is a single processor quad-core system (Q6600 processor) with 8GB of memory. This

I have been meaning to blog about this for a long time now, and since I seem to be writing a number of insufferably long blog posts lately, I figured there was no better time than the present. Most of you know me as someone who has been working on Microsoft

Geeking out with Windows Deployment Services

(Stick with me on this one – it will take a while but I will bring this back to virtualization at the end of it all.  Oh – and be warned – this is a very long post.) This weekend I had a challenge to solve: A while ago I bought myself one of the

In case that wasn't obvious! So why is Ben saying this today? Well I have been setting up a personal domain environment for playing around in - and to be honest it is getting quite complex. By now I have a domain controller, a file server, an iSCSI server,
