To which they are correct, but the average user now thinks and OS as a GUI filled application. I was wondering what it is that you install on the VM if not an OS? &lt;p&gt;A mini-operating systems. Ok so not the death of the OS just a mini-os, would that be an OS without the GUI? Humm, does Windows 2008 come headless? What I mean by that is with out a GUI, would this be the mini-os he talks of?&lt;/p&gt;
