How did you get the Mini to accept 4 Gig - the Apple site claims it will take only 2 Gig max?

I followed a "instructon video" on YouTube about how to open the case and replaced the 2 1GB memory boards with 2 2GB board.

Be aware that you void your waranty!

Both, Windows Server 2008 and Mac OS X show 4GB available. I have not tested if all 4GB are available to OS and applications.

Ah, the current Mini's chipset only addresses a bit over 3 Gig. About This Mac still sees the two memory banks as having 4 gig, but unfortunately it cannot use it all. With the next Mini bump due any day Apple will probably use the 965 Chipset (or better) and it will address all the RAM. Hope they add Firewire 800 and I'm golden to go for a "server in a drawer" setup.

windows server 2008 on a 2009 mac mini
