VFP user group follow up (by yag)

Published 20 March 04 11:57 AM

Just wanted to say thanks to the great folks at BAADD and the South Bay Visual Foxpro User Group for hosting me last Thursday night in Mountain View, CA. It was a lot of fun – I “threw away” my powerpoint slides and did a couple of hours showing all the great new things in VFP 9.0 – and didn’t even hit everything.

In addition to the previously discussed SQL enhancements and Report Writer design time and run time capabilities, I also talked about my current favorite feature – the new [WITH BUFFERING = .T.|.F.|Expression] clause on SQL SELECTs. If you want your SELECT statement to return the buffered data from a cursor that you’re using – this is the clause for you!

Can’t wait till we ship this puppy…
