I'm heading to India! (by yag)

Steven Lees (Group Program Manager for Visual Basic) and I are heading to India as part of the latest phase of the Visual Basic World Tour. Here's the basic schedule:

  • Bangalore - November 30 thru December 1
  • Mumbai - December 1 - December 2
  • Chennai - December 3 - December 6
  • Hyderabad - December 7 - December 8
  • Delhi - December 9 - December 10

Steven, Jay Roxe (VB Product Manager) and I also taped a video for Channel 9 about our trip. I'll post a link when it goes online.

I'm excited at the prospect of showing the great things that are in VB 2003 and 2005, but I'm even more psyched at getting to meet a lot of our customers in India. I've heard a lot about the community out there (one user group had over 3000 attendees last month), and I can't wait to find out all about it for myself.

Hope to see you there!

I attended the event at Chennai on 3rd December.

I really enjoyed the whole session and especially the part in which you demonstrated converting an application for Tablet PC in few simple steps, being a Smart Client application developer I consider that event as “preview to Techno road ahead”. Looking ahead for more events like this from Microsoft, especially on Smart Client application development and SOA.
