Duncan Mackenzie on FoxPro and an anniversary (by yag)

Published 14 January 05 12:36 PM

Duncan has a blog entry reminiscing about FoxPro. I had no idea that he was an old Fox guy also. It constantly amazes me how many of the folks in Microsoft and the VB team have worked with VFP. I spend a lot of my time working with Rob Copeland - the Product Unit Manager of VB who came to Microsoft from Perrysburg when Fox was acquired. Steve Lasker who works on the Data design time portion of the VB team (I linked to a great entry of his earlier this week) used to be a Fox developer back in NY (we met through a local user group there). Robert Green is the VB community guy.

Pretty cool group in general... and one of the reasons I felt right at home when I moved here 3 years ago today...

If you haven't read Duncan's blog on VFP, please do so now. It is the most patronizing piece I have ever read on VFP.

Congrats on the 3 years YAG!

Remember the Sushi in Amherst?

That project was a blast!

Hey Patrick!

Great to "see" you. And yes, I still talk about that sushi... Hope all is well with you.
