Whidbey Beta 1 Express Products are Live!

http://lab.msdn.microsoft.com/express/

I am super excited about this!  After months and months of hard work, we finally released this product.  Although it is only a beta release, it is a very important milestone and we are hoping to get a lot of customer feedback from this release so we can ship an even better final product!

Please go download these products now and give us your feedback!  It doesn't cost you anything!

Feedback #1: I'd like a way to download the complete files for local installation, not just a 2.5 MB stub to a larger 50 MB download.

Is there a place to download say, the entire MSDN Express Library so that I can apply it to multiple machines? Or is the installation saved locally bychance?

Thanks for the feedback so far.
There is currently no way to download and keep all 50MB of installation files on the local hard drive and reuse them later. I have forwarded your feedback to the Setup team and we are considering having this option for the final product.

thanks,

I dont know if you already changed something, but I found a way to run the setup once and then recover the downloaded setup files for offline setup:
The Framework setup is in <WinFolder>\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.40607\Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Beta
The setups for the language and the MSDN are stored in subdirs with corresponding names under the install dir, e.g.
<ProgDir>\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\Visual C# 2005 Express Edition Beta - English

Cheers,
Ben
