Moving to an easier URL

We got some comments that the URL of the current blog http://blogs.msdn.com/vstl is a little cryptic, so we have move to a new URL: http://blogs.msdn.com/lab_management

The content has moved, and we will keep this blog for reference, but the new post will only exist in the new URL, so update your bookmarks/RSS reader.

VSTS Lab Management is finally announced!

After more than a year that we have been working on Lab Management, we have announced the product last week. It will take some more time until we officially release, as part of Visual Studio Team System 2010, so we will use this blog and others to share with you what the product is all about.

We already published a lot of information:
Ram Cherala had a session on Lab in PDC2008: Leveraging Virtualization to Improve Code Quality with Team Lab: HQ WMV | WMV | PPTX

S. Somasegar has wrote on this in his blog: http://blogs.msdn.com/somasegar/archive/2008/11/10/visual-studio-2010-code-focused-development-and-lab-management.aspx

and the Channel 9 video was a big hit, with over 12,000 views on the first day!

Those are all Microsoft publications. We also start to see external articles about lab, like this eWeek article after the TechEd 2008 that is held in Barcelona this week.

We will use this blog to share more information, with details on the specific features of the product.
