For the life of me, I couldn't get the certificate installed on the computers (Build, Proxy, or Client) following these steps.  I just couldn't get the red X and the View Certificate button to enabled in step 5.

If anyone runs into the same problem: what I ended up doing was logging in to the certificate server:

Open Internet explorer

Click "Tools"/"Internet Options" menu

Click "Content" Tab

Click "Certificates" Button

Click "Trusted Root Certification Authorities" Tab

Found my entry and selected it

Click "Export...", exported DER format file accessible by the other computers.

On each computer that needs to access the TFS server securely:

Open Internet explorer

Click "Tools"/"Internet Options" menu

Click "Content" Tab

Click C"ertificates" Button

Click "Trusted Root Certification Authorities" Tab

Click "Import..." button.

Browse to file exported in above steps.

Follow second half of step 6 onward in the VSTS UE walkthrough.

Ugh... after following the "official" walkthrough, I got a TF30059 error.  Everything (SP1, etc.) was working perfectly fine before.

I have been trying to get TFS to work for over a week now... Please, I want to write code, not admin a server!
