TechReady 7 made me ready, Are you?

for the last couple of days I was in one of the greatest events that Microsoft builds, which is called TeacReady. TechReady is the seventh event in this series which was conducted end of July :).

So what happens exactly in TR?

Microsoft would gather all of their Technical army from all over the world to prepare them for the field twice a year. Its the largest technical briefing I ever saw as we are around several thousand people maybe 7 or 8.

New Products

part of the gathering is for us to be ready to support our customers in terms of our future products, road maps and strategies.

New software Requirements

We also convey what you guys are telling us in the field directly talking to the developers. Like i was talking to the SharePoint developers and even the people who developed InfoPath the client and the server. I was telling them what problems we (myself and my customers) face everyday. What's our pain points and what we actually expect from them.

Communication (when virtual become real)!

But what I really love about TechReady is meeting my colleagues who used to help me while I am in a customer site. These people helped me through emails, phones and Distribution Lists (DLs). But now i see them in the event, we meet in sessions or just simply in the xbox night.

what! Are you getting paid to play Xbox?

oh yah, part of the event a something we call an XbOx360 night, whare we setup large networks and play in the network together. Halo was lots of fun :)

Now what?

hopefully, I am now ready to go back to the field, back home and to my customers. But with new ideas lots of solutions for our past problems and many other things that was concerning me and my customers.
