Last day at Microsoft: TODAY

Hello,

This is my last working day at Microsoft.

After 12,5 years, starting at the eve of Microsoft Transaction Server (a.k.a. viper in those days), living the launch of the Microsoft Internet Strategy, Exchange, DNA, Visual Studio, Digital Nervous System, Active Directory, XP, .Net, Hailstorm, and so much more, I really can say it was a busy time making Microsoft grow to be an ‘enterprise ready’ ICT company.

Microsoft is not only technology, but also a company with great people showing lots of energy, enthusiasm and passion.

After serious considerations, I took the decision to continue my career back to my roots. Back to the world of enterprise ICT projects, at the intersection of technology, architecture and business.

It was a wonderful experience, being part of Microsoft and working with you.

Hoping to meet you in the future,

Kind regards,

Walter Stiers
