Program Manager Opportunity on Visual Web Developer

Visual Studio 2010

The Web Development Tools team is looking for an energetic talented program manager familiar with emerging web standards to design the next generation web authoring experience. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about tooling for web standards including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX and ASP.Net.

An ideal candidate will have 4+ years of program management experience and B.S. in Computer Science or similar degree. Knowledge of ASP.NET, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Visual Studio is highly desired.

Specific Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Having overall accountability for delivering features specific to the web authoring experience across web standards
  • Partnering with the ASP.Net team to deliver an authoring experience for next gen features
  • Engage IE Tooling team rationalizing our features for vNext tooling
  • Demonstrating leadership beyond owned feature areas impacting the product and experience as a whole.
  • Contributing to the business and product decisions for next gen web authoring experience
  • Identifying cross-team collaboration opportunities and negotiating partner commitments
  • Drive collaboration and interoperability between Visual Web Developer and other web authoring solutions in MS
  • Developing product feedback channels and implementing project changes based on feedback
  • Contributing to the long term Visual Studio web tooling strategy
