Getting Support
Hey, I’m back. I’m sure everyone thought I had fallen off the face of the earth. I guess I’m not so good at blogging. It’s one of those things that require regular attention, and that’s tough given the demands of my day job.
In any case, we shipped! We signed off on the “Release to Manufacturing” version of Office 2007 in November, and it became available broadly in the United States and many other markets in January 30th, 2007. By now it's available around the world. I hope everyone has run out to his or her local software store and bought a copy.
If you want to learn everything there is to know about Office 2007, just click over to http://www.microsoft.com/office. From there you can learn about new features, download a trial version, and even find ways to buy it online from a variety of sources for your country.
Getting Support
Over the past few months a number of people used this blog to send me private questions asking for support for their specific scenarios. We’ve been able to help out a small number of these folks directly, but this really isn’t the best way to get support for the product, since it doesn’t scale well for our customers around the world.
If you’re having trouble with Outlook 2007 or with any previous version of Outlook, you should go to http://support.microsoft.com and pick the support options which apply to your situation. That site highlights the top issues and it also provides a path to support resources for lots of different Microsoft products.
You'll hear from me again soon. Very soon.
