It’s official! The launch of Windows® 7 operating system, Windows Server® 2008 R2 operating system and Exchange 2010 has happened and the market buzz couldn’t be better. For technology partners that engaged early, dug in and discovered how truly amazing these releases are, the projects are piling up.

Our last round of Core IO presentations was very well received and attendance was strong. We took your feedback and we’re coming back with an improved agenda that incorporates many of your requests. So, here’s what we’ve got for you.

Afternoon session – Target audience pre-sales solution specialists, IT architects and technical specialists

Led by Saleem Kanji, our enterprise technical specialist on virtualization, the afternoon session will focus on how you, as a technology partner, can build an internal lab and demo environment, so that you can show your customers how well the solution works.

  • Understand Microsoft’s approach to virtualization, a 360 view of Microsoft virtualization, from the desktop to the datacenter and how to determine the right solution for the right scenario
  • Review of Hyper-V architecture and learn about the new features of Hyper-V R2 showcased with live demos
  • Understand the editions of Windows Server 2008 with Hyper-V and Hyper-V Server
  • Overview of Microsoft System Center Management Tools and how System Center is a great suite of tools to manage your entire IT infrastructure: physical, virtual, and application environment
  • Understand how Operations Manager can integrate with Virtual Machine Manager to perform dynamic datacenter management such as dynamic resource scheduling

Morning session - Target audience sales and pre-sales focused professionals

  • What’s really happening in the market? This section will focus on a review of actual deployments of Microsoft virtualization and management solutions. What drove the customer to evaluate and deploy? What was the buying process? What tipped the scales and made it compelling and what are the benefits that the customer is seeing post-deployment?
  • Performance. It’s all about evidence. Get the facts to take to your customers and show them that Microsoft has great best price/performance/value combination.
  • What about Citrix? The relationship with Citrix is an essential part of the go-to-market strategy around the virtual desktop. We’ve met with the Canadian Citrix teams; we’ve synchronized our messaging and clarified the customer value proposition. Come and find out how to deliver a combined Microsoft / Citrix solution to your customers for an effective virtual desktop solutions available in the market today.
  • Licensing. You’ve sold your customer the vision. You’ve architected a solution. Now, how does your customer license it most effectively? This session will show you how, using some great new offerings.

Please have development tools installed in case you want to debug your application with help of the Microsoft expert.
