New Blog!

Hello world, I have just setup this blog to help get information out to the Southern California developer community.

My name is Woody Pewitt and I live in San Diego but I cover all of Southern California and Hawaii as a Developer Evangelist (DE). If you don't know what a DE dose you are not alone (my wife for one can't figure out what the heck I do) but a simple explanation is the I learn about the new software technologies (tools, APIs, libraries etc.) that Microsoft has created (well before the general community has access to them), and then announce/demonstrate/teach those technologies to the developer communities in SoCal & HI. I love this job I have been doing it for a little over 2 years now and without moving to Redmond can't see another job at Microsoft that I want to do.

I work closely with the .NET and other Microsoft focused users groups in SoCal. I get to meet most of the local MVPs and many other interesting people that work with the Microsoft development platform and tools.

So why yet another blog? I have a personal blog at blog.pewitt.org but I wanted a more corporately recognized blog. I will cross post all posts to my other blog but I will not post my more personal posts here. So with how much I suck at posting the traffic on this post will be quite low.

If you are not from SoCal please let me know if you ever visit us I will let you know what is going on when you are here. The community I get to work with here is great!
