Really? the sequel comes out in a month and you are springing this on us now, you could have given everybody a few months to play this new addition to the game.  bunch of crap if you ask me and you're charging us for it, do you not want me to buy the sequel?  I probably will buy the sequel but i'm not going to pay for this add on. Thank you very much.

I paid and downloaded this add-on, played the campaign last night with friends online.  I have to say it was so full of glitches that the developers should be ashamed.  I can't believe I was charged for this piece of garbage.  In fairness it may be pretty fun and worth the money if Valve cleans it up, but I recommend anyone considering getting this not waste their money right now.

I thought it was great, Valve keep it coming with add on's to the original L4D and I will buy L4D-2.

Yes - some glitches but they do not affect game play.  Mostly this just seems RUSHED - sloppy errors like the truck crashinginto zombies but going right through them instead of hitting them.  Feels like a grab at keeping us playing until the sequel comes out.  Not saying it's bad - I had fun, but I also feel kinda of insulted because Valve can do much better then this.  For fanboys only - it is rough around the edges but fun.

has valve ever heard of beta testers?  undoubtedly not when they released this add on!!!  server lag, just as bad as pc CS source, half life, etc. used to be.(one of the reasons i went to xbox).  game glitches galore, and forget about getting some of the achievements cause you wont.  map layout is cool though, better that the other maps imo.

imo i would buy it so you can get a feel for L4D2, but if L4D2 is as glitchy and laggy as this then i may just send it to valve and tell them were to stik it.

I love LFD and can't wait for the second one to come out. I did not buy the add-on, and it is not because I am cheap. I did not see much point in it, i am patient and can wait for the second one to come out. So Excited!!!

PC users should have not got it free, but people do work hard on it and deserve to get paid for it. Just make sure its tested and looks good. Everyone wants what they pay for. If I buy a shirt with a rip I am going to try and get my money back.

Heather is exactly right. Why is everyone complaining?There is no point in acquiring a game add-on for a game that comes out in the next few weeks. Everyone SHOULD know that the developers and everyone else needs the money but that dont make you want to buy it any more. Also if it was any good then people would be giving good feed back instead of bad. So those that say they worked for their "paycheck" are saying that they worked hard to make the game good so they can get paid, but if the game is bad then they will get fired... ;P

I guess they was thinking its something to tie you over till you get L4D2, like youre THAT bored of the other maps, too excited over getting L4D2 or you got NO other games to play till then.

Hey, does anybody know how to system link three separate consoles?  We tried for three ours for a Left 4 Dead bachelor party to no avail.  We ended up just split-screening with two.  WTF?  We had the right sized hub and everything.

All i really would like 2 c valve do is plz hurry with those patches especially achievment patches plz. you can meet the requirements on the acheivements a hundred times and it still wont give you them.

Let me start by saying that I do realize the add-on is laggy and the achievement patch is needed badly. Now with that said let us get down to business. Why did Valve put this out a month before L4D2? Because you all whined and whined about how they promised add-ons that never came. Why is it so glitchy and rushed? Because they are spending most of their time trying to make another great addition to this series. They can't because you spoiled brats want everything you way then complain when you get exactly what you ask for. If you don't like it don't get it. But the continuous whining like little babies at a company who is already bending over backwards to keep their fans happy is getting rather annoying.

If you are bitching about the cost, complain to Microsoft not Valve. If you do remember the Survival mode add-on was free for both console and PC, that is a miracle seeing as Microsoft insists on charging for anything extra to a game. As for the glitches, Valve is normally very good about patches (if any of you have played the game long enough to remember the dumpster glitches in the No Mercy Versus campaign you'd realize this). Just be patient and everything will be sorted out. Don't expect a price drop though.

Well i have L4D on PC, the updates are free, and L4D2 is only $34 (if you buy 4 copies, myself and 3 friends). Microsoft will continue to rip people off as long as games come out.. It will cost a console owner $60 + tax.. thats $30 more than on pc, then they will hit you for $5 here and $10 there for all the updates!!

BTW... Crash Course was FREE FREE FREE on PC! :)

If there is finger-pointing to be done, it's at the developer/publisher - Valve/EA.  They make the content and they get the money you spend on MS points to purchase it.  No idea on whether the criticisms are valid but give credit and blame where its due.

Valve has created the most realistic first person shooter game of all times. The gameplay is fluid like not like Halo where you seem to be in a drug induced coma playing in slow motion.  The new maps on Crash  Course all fantastic, the whole feel of the maps give a sense of fear, and the lighting is great.  Keep the DLC coming Valve, and I can't wait until L4D2 comes out next month.....

I like the game and I did buy the add-on. I have not played it in MP yet but the gameplay was alright. As for the PC verses the XBOX or WII or PS3. Yeah, the PC is usually better but you have to have a really jam up PC to play most games these days. I used to play everything on PC but the games kept requiring more power to play. Then you have to upgrade or buy another PC. Game systems are at least stable platforms and developers have to adhere to the system requirements. Not everyone can afford to throw out some serious change for a PC or hardware upgrade every 6 months or so. Just be happy with what you have.

A big problem is that valve is famous for giving away stuff for free, so when they actually do charge for something, and it's glitchy, people freak out.  My advice is to just wait, unless you could care less about the cost.

ok seriously??? l4d is a brilliant game and as far as i am aware of valve has fixed every dam glitch in the first game so i am pretty confident. so to all those people who are being a whiny bitch about how pc users dident have to pay for it think about what you are saying...pc gamers...dont you think that they have suffered enough and deserve a 7 buck break every now and then so seriously... valve is probably just testing some special coding or effect to ensure that there are minimal glitches in l4d 2 anybody heard of a beta

People never cease to amaze me. First they complained because it was announced that add-ons for L4D were being post-poned until after the release of L4D2. Then they release a fine add-on to tide us over until the new game, and people STILL complain?! Are you serious?

The wife and I downloaded it and have played it in co-op a few times and the new harried pace looks like it would be AWESOME in vs. mode. We never found any glitches, and were HAPPY they released it before L4D2.

I think some people need to relax and ENJOY.

This add-on is cool, and short, which is perfect. The only negative is the achievements. Sometimes they work and sometimes they just randomly give them to you. I gotta say after playing the original game for nearly a year, I'm more than happy to get something new to play within the L4D universe. To everybody complaining or whatever, it's simple, either buy it or don't, because Valve is definitely not losing money on your behalf...

I want to warn everyone who wants to buy this download for X360 that it has ACHIEVEMENT GLITCHES specially those oline. The only way to get the achievements is to make sure your Xbox DOESN'T have internet cable in the plug. In other words online achievements are possible to obtain only through OFFLINE splitscreen or best option is to have at least 3(three) Xbox consoles on 3 TVos and OFFLINE LINK, because 1 achievement (Slippery Pull) is obtainable olny through this way. WOW Valve...the creators of Counter Strike ...WTF U freaks??? I used to love ya, now I start to hate... Please fix soon....FIX FIX FIX... If I won't see an update for L4D I will buy a used L4D2 just not to let them get money from me Aholes!!!!

xbox will always dominate pc gaming for the fact that you have to have a badass gaming computer to even start downloading the damn game. I had rather pay $60 for a game every 2-3 months or pay loads of money for a computer that will only get used to play that 1 game

...i agree... wtf microsoft?! considering i sit at a pc all day long for work fixing pc crap... the last thing i want to do when i get home is turn my pc on to play a game when i can sit back and hold a controller... plus pc controls are the most rediculous! i have to swtich hands between the mouse and keyboard constantly and end up dying quicker vs a controller...
