Meet TATEone, a newlywed systems analyst who’s been around since the olden days of the Xbox LIVE Beta.

KP: What’s the story behind your Gamertag?
TATEone: TATE was the tag I used for doing graffiti early on, and eventually I added “one” at the end but for no apparent reason at all.

KP: Where do you live?
TATEone: Cary, NC.

KP: What do you do for work/school?
TATEone: Systems analyst for NIEHS.

KP: What’s the worst or weirdest job you’ve ever had?
TATEone: Campus catering at my university.

KP: How long have you been on Xbox LIVE?
TATEone: Since the initial Beta wave back in 2002.

KP: Do you have an archenemy on Xbox LIVE, and if so, who?
TATEone: It would be a tie between Esko or StinkinLizaveta, but for sure not emileffe.

KP: What’s your Xbox setup like?
TATEone: 40-inch Samsung LCD, but no Surround Sound yet.

KP: What’s the best feature of Xbox LIVE?
TATEone: Party system, cross-game chat, and of course, Netflix!

KP: What is your favorite multiplayer Xbox game?
TATEone: Saints Row 2.

The action in Saints Row 2 gets a callout.

KP: What is your favorite single player Xbox game?
TATEone: Fallout 3.

KP: What do you think is the best game of all tijme?
TATEone: GoldenEye. You can’t beat that classic multiplayer fun.

KP: What do you think is the best film of all time?
TATEone: Cool Hand Luke.

KP: What do you think is the best album of all time?
TATEone: Sublime’s self-titled album.

KP: Rock Band or Guitar Hero?
TATEone: Guitar Hero.

KP: What’s the funniest thing you’ve ever heard on Xbox LIVE?
TATEone: “Yellow is the man!” Some young kid in ESPN NFL 2K5 made a routine tackle during a 3 vs. 3 game and thought he was the greatest, only to then be cracked on by his own teammates.

KP: What is your greatest Xbox LIVE moment?
TATEone: Being a part of the Beta program. It has been really great being there from the beginning and watching the service evolve.

KP: What’s your favorite TV show?
TATEone: Dexter and Weeds.

“Yellow is the man!” or not.

KP: Who is your inner rock star?
TATEone: Eddie Vedder.

KP: If they made a movie about your life, who should play you?
TATEone: Clive Owen.

KP: What’s your karaoke song?
TATEone: “Don’t Stop Believin’” by Journey, too bad it’s not much of a crowd favorite.

KP: Favorite cartoon character?
TATEone: Smurfette.

KP: What superpower would you like to have?
TATEone: Super speed.

KP: What celebrity would be the worst roommate?
TATEone: Lady Gaga.

KP: How many people are on your Friends List?
TATEone: 12.

KP: Who’s your favorite superhero?
TATEone: Superman.

KP: Hot celeb you’d like to be stranded on a desert island with?
TATEone: Kate Beckinsale.

KP: If you could be any video game character, who would it be?
TATEone: Leisure Suit Larry, of course.

Well really, Larry does meet the most fascinating people.

KP: What’s the worst food you’ve ever eaten?
TATEone: Lutefisk.

KP: What’s the first video game you ever played?
TATEone: Intellivision’s Snafu.

KP: What’s the last book you read?
TATEone: On The Road by Jack Kerouac.

KP: If you could go on tour with any band, which would it be?
TATEone: Kings of Leon.

KP: What do you predict will be the “next big thing” in gaming?
TATEone: Completely digital distribution.

KP: What do you think is the best thing about Xbox 360?
TATEone: Xbox LIVE, without a doubt, it’s the best thing the Xbox has to offer. The great games are just the icing on the cake.

KP: What is the Xbox 360 Achievement that was hardest to get?
TATEone: The Veteran Achievements in Call of Duty 2.

KP: What would you like to be doing in ten years?
TATEone: Teaching my kids how to play the Xbox 720.
