I just wish I could buy card packs and create my own decks. This online rendition takes away all the creativity.

Yeah, I had a a great time getting back into Magic for several hours during the Game with Fame promotion. Keep it up.

I actually bought the game sooner rather than later and the expansion because it looked like a fun event, and the online play turned out to be better than I was expecting.

I used to play MTG since Beta edition came out. This game brings me back some old memories. Like some people said, I would love to be able to make my own deck, but this is a nice start. Thanks and keep the upgrades coming!

I think you could like type in the cerial number of a card and you could have that card in the game so you can have your personal deck that is 100% unique.

You know I played your magic the gathering Planeswalkers with expansion and loved it because it had the newer cards and a great AI but I still think it could even be better. if I play magic the gathering on a system like the 360 or a computer it's because I cant find players. but if I come up with a deck I want to build myself I might want to build it first in the computer test it out, then if it works build again in reality!  now that would be fun to take even cards I dont have yet, that I found out about in a fat pack. and put them together with others then play the game system with that deck and if it works build it in life!!!

Three things to fix.

1. The choice to make your own deck needs to be included. That's a given.

2. Why can we only unlock cards by playing through the single player campaign? I think we should be able to unlock by going through custom duels, co-op campaign, co-op custom duels and online. 1 card for winning a match. Simple.

3. There needs to be a limit to how many times a person can stop the timer in one turn. Also, a timer should be added so that people can't just watch damage effects forever. Why all this? I can't tell you the number of times a person has simply done one of the aforementioned acts, and caused me to leave. Very un-sportsmans-like. Well, this isn't sports but still.

Overall though, I enjoy this game (too much, not that I'm complaining) and shall continue to watch for more expansion packs on Live, or possibly a full fledged sequel.

Love MtG on 360!

One wish I have is the ability to customize the background music. How about having additional soundtracks available in the Marketplace like the tables and backgrounds? Better yet, how about the ability to customize the music by streaming last.FM (or other music sources available on the Xbox360) into the game?

Here's the problem with a completely customizable deck....you would make the game completely hostile to newbs. Think about it. If we could go online and 100% edit the deck any way we wanted, the experienced players would strip the decks down to their deadliest minimum card limit and wipe the floor with newbs. Thus driving away new potential addicts. I already have errantly killed whatever joy my friends had with this game by deboning them everytime we play. They accept that they are new to the game, but hate the idea that they only win if I get "mana hosed".

As it stands we are forced to keep some cards which are only useful on occasion. Thus giving newbs a turn or 6 to put up a fight. The only way to allow completely cutomizabile decks would be to have to seperate game lobbies. One with limited customization  pre-constucted decks (what we have now) and one with unlimited customization.

I personally like how they release cards now and never want to see an online card shop or random booster packs. That is what drove me away from MTG in the first place (playing too many people who spent every spare dimw purchasing the rarest/deadliest cards to use before thier use was restricted or limited). The main thing I'd like to see is the ability to choose which lands to "Tap". I'm tired of not being able to "fake" an incenerate when using a multi-colored deck (ie: keep my one red mana untapped even though I have now red cards in hand).

Great game, keep the DLC coming.

Need to customize decks, however I agree it needs to be limited.  Can stay as is, just add a limited amount of space for customized cards. 3 to 5 cards per deck, that a player could choose from other decks or a custom card shop.

Love the ideas from the others.

Choose music

Choose diferent boards

option of which land to tap.

I have a couple other ideas.

Coop campain with a friend outside my house

coop duels with friends all at home

Use my avatar character as the picture

Random coop aponents with diferent decks not known prior to match.

Again great game, loved it, keep it coming I'm hooked.

I love me some magic but this game lacks creativity for the players so when i bought it i thought you would get to structure your own deck but i couldn't and I was very disturbed about the lack of being able to do so. Hopefully there will be an add-on that will let you creat your own deck. i hope i hope!

I realize having the ability to create your own deck is high up on everyone's list but wouldn't it be great to also have a draft function build into an expansion pack?  Creating your own deck would require a huge effort on the developing team but a draft seems like a much more obtainable goal in the meantime while we wait.  I'm sure the company realizes the money making ability they have with this game if they add a store to buy expansion packs, creating a true multiplayer universe and something so far only seen on pc.  Microsoft has said at CES this year that 2010 XBOX live would become something much great than it has in the past, lets hope it creates room for our beloved mtg dreams.

Here's a question I had.  If Stainless Games are the developers but Wizards of the Coast are the publishers, who decides what new content is added to mtg on xbox live?  I mean posting about what we would like to see on here is great, and there's a chance the parties responsible for adding or changing content within mtg looks at this post, wouldn't it be better if we knew the website where we knew our voice would be heard, possible informing whomever what the community is really looking for in this great game?

Also side note.  If Wizards has little to do with mtg on xbox live, couldn't they take the clue that their online magic system looks like something from the 1990s and build something like what we love on xbox live?  We understand Stainless Games built the version of mtg on xbox live as a noobie friendly version therefore leaving out most of the content we have longed; however, couldn't Wizards either support a further development by these guys for its growing fan-base (just look at the number of people that have downloaded mtg on xbox live) or roll out a variation of what has been offered on xbox live to the pc online community?

I spoke before I looked.  Here is what Wizards had to say back in November of '09: "Also planned for the summer of 2010 is the release of the PC version of Duels of the Planeswalkers. The PC version will offer the same style of gameplay as the XBLA title, along with an extra bonus we can't tell you about quite yet."

Could this be the eventual replacement of the paper magic version offered currently on PC, and could the secret extra bonus mentioned be the ability to customize your decks?  Guess we'll find out later this year.

some of the post I have read about bringing in your own deck....I for one am glad they don't have that option. You wouldn't enjoy the game much when someone beats you down with a deck played by tournament players....one reason why I lost interest in MTG and MTGO.

Over all i liked the game, but i did have a few problems. but i will only mention the ones that were not already posted..

I think one should be able to take all the time needed to declare attackers and defenders. I do not like that someone could wipe me out because i was having trouble with the system to get my creatures to block the creatures i wanted them too. I think that polishing the controls just a little more would be very helpful.
