I just emailed that there needs to be not only an XPS viewer but something to generate them on the Mac. I have a mac at home but since I can't generate or view XPS on it I am stuck using PDF for anything that needs to be cross platform. I realize that MSFT was counting on third parties to jump in and develop the solutions but MSFT needs to make a free reference viewer and generator available for the Mac platform if there is any hope!

C'mon Microsoft! I'm a Mac user too, and if Microsoft isn't providing its own XPS document viewer or creator, the format's got absolutely no chance. Perhaps Office 2008 has a solution?
