I certainly did not exepct to see our Corporate VP to be on video like this and even show silly side of him. Video itself is not that interesting. But outtakes at the end made me laugh out loud. Glad I had my door shut in my office. :)

Who's Young Joo and what is this blog about?

My name is Young Joo, Program Manager of Visual Studio Pro Data (VS Pro Data) team within Visual Basic Product Unit. It's been about three months since I started. My team is responsible for data related features within Visual Studio. We have many exciting features planned for Orcas (next VS release) and I am sure I will share them with you here.

I will be blogging about not only data features within Visual Studio but also about Agile Development, management, general SDLC stuff and some personal stuff. For next couple of days, I will be moving posts from my current blog to here. Dates will be all messed up but I will make sure to note the original post date. All migrated posts will have [ Migrated ] prefix in title and below block of text at the end of post so that it's clear to everyone.

Just came out of the meeting where we discussed what we were going to work on. And I feel terrible. I was sooo unprepared. Did not help team members make progress on agenda. Could not help people make decisions. Heck, I HAD NO OPINION. No contribution what so ever (other than writing down some stuff). I was not acting as a Program Manager. I acted like a secretary... I feel really bad. This is not what I came to do here.

"Look for small wins everyday" my friend told me recently and it was the perfect opportunity to do that. I failed... Miserably...

Gotta do something about this...
