I've had the great opportunity over the last couple of months to collaborate with the worldwide and United States Microsoft Dynamics CRM partner and marketing teams to assist with the building out of new partner online portals across both PartnerSource and the Microsoft Partner Network (MPN) websites. Many gears were and continue to be in motion, so I hope partners find these resources beneficial. We are all systems go in anticipation of the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 launch!
We are pleased to announce a new set of MPN pages to enable partners to more easily find the right resources. In addition, we have a dedicated page for the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 product content which has everything from presentations to demos.

On December 17, 2010, President Obama signed into law House Bill H.R. 4853. This new law could allow businesses to write off an additional 100% of the cost of qualifying assets (including software) acquired and placed into service after September 8, 2010 through December 31, 2011. This law could also allow businesses to write off an additional 50% of the cost of qualifying assets placed into service after December 31, 2011 through December 31, 2012. This bill was signed in an attempt to encourage capital investment through 2012.
Microsoft wants to let partners know about this bill now because some of its provisions will only apply to qualifying assets put into service in 2010 and 2011. Further, there is no guarantee that a similar bill will be signed into law in 2013. As such, it is possible that certain tax benefits offered by this bill will only be applicable to qualifying asset purchases that occur over the next two years.
To further illustrate the potential tax benefits that this bill may offer to you or your customers, we have included a copy of the text of the bill on PartnerSource. We encourage you or your customers to review this bill and its implications together with a qualified tax advisor.
A Community Technical Preview of Microsoft Dynamics AX "6" is planned for February, and general availability is planned for the third quarter of 2011.

One of the important components included in the October 27, 2010 partner strategy announcement was the introduction of the Autobill Program. Our Microsoft Dynamics existing customer team passes along this reminder regarding the program launch.
Autobill, the automatic billing model launches March 1, 2011 in our Asia Paciific and Americas regions. The Autobill Program is a "through-partner" initiative to streamline enhancement plan renewals.
Partners will have the Autobill system functionality available to them in the "My Messages" area on PartnerSource to manage their renewals. This functionality will provide partners with the ultimate ability to review upcoming renewals, quote amounts, Autobill status and much more in a single screen.

More than 11,500 customers and 2,000 partners have used Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 as part of the beta program, including customers that have switched from competing solutions.
REDMOND, Wash. — Jan. 17, 2011 — Microsoft Corp. CEO Steve Ballmer today announced the worldwide availability of Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online, the cloud version of the new Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 release that delivers new levels of productivity to sales, service and marketing organizations. The on-premises and partner-hosted versions of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 will be globally available on Feb. 28, 2011.
For the first time outside North America, customers can access Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online in 40 markets and 41 languages and sign up for a free trial here. Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online is available today at a promotional price of $34 per user per month for the first 12 months of service to qualified customers that sign up by June 30, 2011.
