ANZAC Day, 25 April, is the day Australians remember the original landing on Gallipoli in 1915.
Next week, I am participating in a panel at the 2nd Annual Public Relations & Corporate Communications Summit
Panel session: Creating stakeholder conversations If we view the role of PR as creating conversations with various stakeholder groups, how will the rise of new media technology impact the role of the PR practitioner? Is there a role for new media in generating influence in the mainstream media? Case studies and examples form each organisation: for example, CSIRO’s podcasts regularly rate in the top 3 science podcasts on Apple’s iTunes Who are the opinion leaders within my organisation and how should I approach them for doing things like regular podcasts? Future trends: will new media mean a new PR paradigm? It's really feels weird that I will be speaking at a conference on PR and Corporate Communication - I am so not that "type". Seriously.
What will I be talking about?
Give me a B, give me a L, ......

One of the things we have been doing over the last few years is reaching out to folks from different technical communities and listening to what they have to say.
Just recently, we hosted a number of folks in Redmond at an event we called the Microsoft Technology Summit.
There were some Aussies in amongst these, and they have blogged about their experience
Michael Wise : Microsoft Technology Summit 2007 - MTS07
Pia Waugh : Microsoft and Open Source - the inside story
I will leave it to their comments to judge whether we have been successful.

Today sees me back in the office after a trip to the US with my family. The trip was part holiday and part work.
I purposely stayed away from blogging while I was away - but I did Twitter and Flickr.
During the holiday part, I saw a truly disturbing thing - a do it yourself tattoo set for kids!
Get Ready to get inked! The I-Tattoo electronic tattoo pen features a realistic vibrating tattoo pen. Includes, safe, non toxic markers for a realistic tattoo, and 30 sticker tattoo stencils for realistic tattoos.
Anyways, it's good to be home!!
