THEY came, they saw, they conquered and were conquered inturn — willingly, deliriously, gratefully. With dazed smiles,sweat-stained Superman T-shirts, pink hair, deathly pallor, yards of tattoos, rolls of fat and an occasional pair of detachable devil horns, troops ofcomic-book fans, collectible professionals and enthusiasts, science-fictionnerds and circling Hollywood sharks descended on the San Diego ConventionCenter last weekend for the 38th annual Comic-Con International. I'm getting ready to head to the Gold Coast for this year's Tech.Ed. I'm quite anxious and apprehensive at the moment.
I have a number of duties at this year's event - I'm leading the panel at the Blogger Lunch, I am doing a Chalk Talk, I am working the booth, I'm doing some press interviews.
It will also be my farewell to the Australian technical community.
While I am at Tech.Ed, my wife will be managing the "pack and load" back home, in preparation for our relocation.
To say a lot is happening this week, would be an understatement!
This afternoon, I spotted the following on the screens at work
thanks Tanya and Joe for the nice gesture
