It’s July 16th, and given the announcements made at the World Wide Partner Conference, there’s less than a month until Windows 8 is released to marketing (in early August) and only few months until its general availability at the end of October.  With that comes the potential exposure of your application – via the Windows Store – to over 231 markets worldwide!  It’s the largest opportunity ever (or as they say in Boston - evah!) for developers.

To take advantage of that opportunity you’ll need to get your application into the Windows Store (be sure to follow the Windows Store for developers blog so you know what to expect) but before you get to the store you’ll have to build something!  And that’s where we can help!

Get started from the comfort of your own home:

Join me and my evangelist colleagues for a series of free events dedicated to Windows 8 application development.

Day one focuses on the platform and fundamentals, with nine sessions covering the Metro deign style, application development, the Windows store, and more. We’ll cap the day off with a Windows 8 / Visual Studio 2012 install fest.

On day two we turn you loose for an all day hackathon to bring your ideas to life on the new platform (and compete for fame, glory, a Samsung slate and $500!!).

For those of you on the East Coast of the United States, venue locations, dates, and registration links (you must register separately for Day 1 and Day 2) are shown below, or check out the Microsoft Dev Camps site for the complete worldwide listing.
