It’s that time of year, the nights are dark, the weather has turned colder, Xmas jingles are playing in the shops and the thoughts of everybody turns to one great celebration. That’s right it’s the time of year for the Hour of Code.
Finals day 4th November, 30 students V MOS (Microsoft Office Specialist) Exam, would the students from Rhondda Cynon Taff (RCT) council in Wales prevail or would the MOS exam defeat them? RCT has partnered with Microsoft to provide the Microsoft IT Academy programme to ALL of its 132 schools, to develop technology skills for both teachers and students and to help prepare students for a career in the 21st Century.
We have gathered together our largest group of Expert Educators ever and introduced a new Fellows programme. We are proud to have this elite group of distinguished expert educators join us and others from around the globe.

The BCS Certificate in Computer Science Teaching offers professional recognition to current teachers of Computing and demonstrates their technical and pedagogical competence, as well as their engagement with their own professional development. It is evidence-based certification provided by Computing At School and accredited by BCS, The Chartered Institute for ICT.
