Learn to use Visual Studio, Visual Studio Online, Application Insights and Team
Foundation Server to decrease rework, increase transparency into your application and increase the rate at which
you can ship high quality software throughout the application lifecycle
One of the things I’m really proud of in the new Visual Studio 11 developer experience is the investment we made in developer and unit testing. We first started talking about this back at the //BUILD/ conference, and since then have spent a lot of time working with community partners to get them ready for the Beta release today.
I’m very happy, therefore, to be able to highlight the frameworks & test runners that have shipped support for VS11 Beta. (More to come, see below.)
(Editors Note: Table below updated 2/11/2014)
Python Tools for Visual Studio
I will be maintaining this list as more come online, so please stay tuned. If you have one, or know of one, either in-development or released, please let me know.
Why is JUnit not mentioned here? It was there as part of Build Extensions for TFS 2010 !!
@Jay, maybe I should have. When I wrote this, I was focusing on unit testing frameworks with VS IDE integration. JUnit has Eclipse integration but not VS. It still works with TFS though.
Thanks for the list!
You might also wish to include the Boost Unit Test Adapater in this list. It is available at: visualstudiogallery.msdn.microsoft.com/5f4ae1bd-b769-410e-8238-fb30beda987f
Thanks for the list.
For those of you that write test cases in Python I just want to point out that the latest version of PyTools for Visual Studio (PTVS 2.0 RC) has a Test Adapter in it for Visual Studio. I was thinking about rolling my own until I came across this.
Its great to see support for so many unit testing frameworks.
