Microsoft Supports Local Organization to Fight AIDS

Lone Star Ride Fighting AIDS, a non-profit organization in Dallas, is hosting its 12th annual two-day, 180- mile cycling adventure through scenic suburban and country roads winding through and around Dallas/Fort Worth on September 29-30. The event helps raise money to provide housing, hot meals, food pantries, HIV testing, counseling and other basic needs for more than 20,000 clients with HIV/AIDS in North Texas.

The volunteer-supported organization has donated more than $2 million to three beneficiary agencies, AIDS Services of Dallas (ASD), AIDS Outreach Center of Tarrant County (AOC) and Resource Center Dallas (RCD). Microsoft is a sponsor of the event and is working to assemble a team of 20 riders and 30 crew members to participate in the event using the slogan: I Am Diversity, I Am Determined, I Am Microsoft.

How can you contribute? Lone Star Ride makes it easy to launch a fundraising email campaign to your friends, family and coworkers so you can be a part of the ride or crew competition, while making new friends and helping out your neighbors in Texas who need it the most—not to mention getting some great exercise and enjoying the beautiful back country.
