MS-HUG Tech Forum

The Microsoft Healthcare Users Group (MS-HUG) Tech Forum is set to kick off on August 28 in Redmond, WA in the Conference Center on Microsoft Campus. I will be presenting on the Connected Health Framework from 3:40 to 4:45pm on Monday the 28th.

I encourage all the fellow bloggers and readers to look me up during the reception at the Microsoft Museum or after my presentation.

The TechForum this year presents for the first time two separate tracks for health plans and life sciences with five sessions each. The healthcare providers track is divided in two tracks, one oriented towards developers and one oriented towards IT professionals.

We will be presenting almost 30 sessions in parallel tracks and two keynotes and give you the opportunity to learn from Microsoft and our partners about new exciting developments in the health and life sciences industries.

My favorite sessions are:

MA-SHARE Health Information Network Architecture
Vinod Muralidhar, CSC

BiztalkĀ® Server 2006 and the Mercury EDI Engine for Transaction Processing in a Health Plan
Suren Machiraju, Senior Program Manager, Microsoft

Web Services Interoperability
Kirill Gavrylyuk, Lead Program Manager, Microsoft

PHR by CDA: Creating Personal Health Records with the Clinical Document Architecture
Liora Alschuler, Alschuler Associates, LLC

and of course:

Microsoft Connected Health Framework
Roberto Ruggeri, Senior Technical Strategist, Healthcare, Microsoft

There are a ton of other interesting sessions, just check the brochure!

Attendees will have to opportunity to shop and the Microsoft Company Store, check out the Microsoft Home of the Future, tour the Microsoft Museum and connect with other people in the industry and folks from the Microsoft product teams.

Send me a note if you're going to be there. Ciao.
