SSIS - Accepted Languages for Script Task

had always wondered whether it would be possible to write the Script
tasks we use in SSIS in C#. Finally, this post from MSDN forums cleared
that up.Apparently, Script Tasks use VSA and VSA supports VB.Net only.
Thus, it won't be possible to code them using C#.

However, there is a good news. VSTA has been release - https://blogs.msdn.com/vsta/ or https://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/vstudio/aa700828.aspx

so if and whenever SSIS migrates Script Task to VSTA, C# scripting will become a reality.

Michael from the IS team has confirmed that "The VSTA and C# support are planned for next SSIS version."
